Big Sugar’s Gordie Johnson discusses the re-issue of ‘500 Pounds’ through Third Man Records & their upcoming tour

SWOMP caught up with Big Sugar’s Gordie Johnson to discuss the re-issue of their 1993 album ‘500 Pounds’ through Jack White’s record label Third Man Records.

Johnson also chats about their upcoming tour, which includes a March 14, 2024 performance at the Chatham Capitol Theatre, where the band is set to perform ‘500 Pounds’ in its entirety along with other hits from their deep catalog.

From Third Man Records: Third Man Records announced today (January 24, 2024) the partnership with Canadian born and bred blues rocker, Gordie Johnson, and his group Big Sugar on the reissue of “500 Pounds” releasing digitally and on vinyl (out February 16th).
