Bluewater Borderfest announces milestone in fundraising, ready for 2024 festival June 20-22

The Bluewater BorderFest Music Festival is proud to announce that it has reached a milestone of $200,000 plus, in donations to local charities and not-for-profit organizations since its inception.

The festival’s sole purpose is to support our community by bringing world class, touring artists to Sarnia-Lambton, while creating an incredible live music festival experience that draws tourists to the region to support the community in all ways possible. This remarkable achievement is a testament to our commitment to giving back to the community.

As they approach the 8th year of the festival, which will take place on June 20-21-22, they are excited to announce that this year’s event will continue to support local charities and not-for-profit organizations.

The festival’s focus on community and economic benefits has made it a staple event in the Sarnia-Lambton community.

“We are thrilled to have reached this milestone and are proud of the impact we have made in our community,” said Brian McNair, Event Committee Member, in a media release.

“The Bluewater BorderFest Music Festival is more than just a music festival; it’s a way for our volunteer committee to give back to the community that supports us.”

The festival has become a major economic driver for the region, attracting thousands of visitors each year and generating significant revenue for local businesses. In addition to its economic benefits, the festival also provides a unique opportunity for local charities and not-for-profit organizations to raise funds and awareness for their causes.

“We believe that by hosting the Bluewater BorderFest Music Festival, we can make a positive impact on our community and bring people together in a fun and enjoyable way,” added McNair.

The 8th annual Bluewater BorderFest Music Festival will take place on June 20-21-22 and will showcase an incredible lineup featuring:

THE I LOVE THE 90’S TOUR featuring VANILLA ICE, COLOR ME BADD, YOUNG MC, CC MUSIC FACTORY and local band RUMBLEFISH on Thursday, June 20th.

BUSH, SKILLET, SAINT ASONIA and local band BORN RIOT on Friday, June 21st.

OUR LADY PEACE, SCOTT STAPP OF CREED, FINGER ELEVEN and I MOTHER EARTH on Saturday, June 22nd.

“We encourage everyone to come out and make memories that will last a lifetime, and experience the Bluewater BorderFest Music Festival for themselves,” said McNair.

“By purchasing tickets, attendees are not only supporting local charities and not-for-profit organizations, but they are also contributing to the economic growth and vitality of our community.”

Tickets are available online at www.BluewaterBorderFest.com or at local retail outlets including Corunna Home Hardware and Tourism Sarnia Lambton.

The concert event is produced by Bluewater BorderFest and the volunteer committee is the only music festival group that is a not for profit event, with no paid staff.

The committee’s goal is simple, to make Sarnia-Lambton a better place to live, work and play, while generating an increased economic impact and tourism for the region, as Bluewater BorderFest is a key economic and tourism destination driver for Southwestern Ontario.

For 2024, Bluewater BorderFest is excited to extend our reach in the United States, throughout the Province of Ontario, and welcome all of Canada, and residents of four countries to Discover Ontario, and join us in the celebration of being a Border town, at Canada’s Summer Kick Off Concert in Sarnia, Ontario.
