Our Lady Peace closes out Bluewater Borderfest 2024, bassist tells SWOMP they’re ready to record new music

Canadian rockers Our Lady Peace closed out the annual 2024 Bluewater Borderfest in Sarnia on Saturday, June 22, 2024.

Before gracing the stage later in the evening, SWOMP caught up with bass guitarist Duncan Coutts for an interview in the afternoon, right after the band performed their sound check.

As Coutts mentioned in the interview with SWOMP, OLP played some new music for the Sarnia audience on Saturday.

For only the second time ever, the band performed ‘Sound The Alarm’, which fans can expect to hear on their forthcoming album.

The remainder of their set included crowd favourites ‘Superman’s Dead’, ‘Is Anybody Home?’, ‘Somewhere Out There’, ‘Life’ and ‘Clumsy’, before closing out their set with ‘4am’ and ‘Starseed’.

Frontman Raine Maida told the audience that summer is now officially underway and they were not going to let a tornado stop them from performing on Saturday.

Forecasters had issued a marine tornado warning earlier in the day over Lake Huron.

OLP has a number of festival dates scheduled thuis summer across Canada and a pair of dates supporting Stone Temple Pilots in California.
