Back in July, the critically acclaimed, multi-platinum band Young The Giant released the Mind Over Matter (10th Anniversary Edition). Originally released in 2014, Mind Over Matter (produced by Justin Meldal-Johnsen and mixed by Rich Costey) peaked at #7 on the Billboard 200 and #2 on the Top Rock Albums chart. Its title track has been a fan favorite and was recently certified Platinum.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of one of their most beloved albums, the exclusive deluxe edition is available on clear smoke vinyl. It includes a 12-page booklet with never-before-seen photos, a double-sided fold-out poster, and a slipcover. The tracklist features three unreleased demos and a new acoustic version of “Metropolis,” which the band teased during their 2023 American Bollywood World Tour.
The band shared, “Mind Over Matter was the result of us taking a lot of sonic risks. It became a stepping stone in our craft, helping us grow as artists and individuals. We’ve loved watching this album become a fan favorite, especially the title track. This 10-Year Anniversary edition includes What You Get, a previously unreleased song, as well as demos of Mind Over Matter and Camera, and the acoustic track Metropolis.”
Young The Giant is currently on the Neon Pill Tour with Cage The Elephant and Bakar, with several sold-out shows in Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, Nashville, and New York. The band has also made festival appearances at Shaky Knees and Boston Calling, with Outside Lands, Bourbon & Beyond, and Oceans Calling still to come.
Formed in 2004, Young The Giant consists of Sameer Gadhia (vocals), Jacob Tilley (guitar), Eric Cannata (guitar), Francois Comtois (drums), and Payam Doostzadeh (bass).
