Poppy, known as much for her performance art as for her music, has gained attention for her stylized, sometimes unsettling videos and eclectic musical style, ranging from dance-pop to heavy metal. She began posting videos online in 2011 and released her debut single, “Everybody Wants to Be Poppy,” in 2015. Her first EP, Bubblebath, was released in 2016, followed by several more EPs, three full-length albums, and three ambient albums designed for sleep, reading, and screaming.

In 2020, Poppy’s cover of t.A.T.u’s “All the Things She Said” became her first Billboard hit, peaking at No. 41 on the Hot Rock and Alternative Songs chart. That same year, she was nominated for a Grammy for Best Metal Performance for “Bloodmoney,” from her album I Disagree. Poppy also released a holiday EP titled A Very Poppy Christmas in 2020. Her other projects include a fan website, Poppy.Church, and a pair of graphic novels.
