California punk rockers Offspring performed on the Main Stage at Louder Than Life on Thursday, September 26, 2024 in Louisville,. Kentucky.
“Oh, this is going to be a good one Noodles, we’re just getting warmed up here,” vocalist Dexter Holland said.
“I am so fucking happy to be here at Louder Than Life festival today,” Noodles, the lead guitarist, said.
“You hear that? It’s the louder than shit festival,” Dexter added.
“Are you seeing all the mosh pits out there, Noodles? All the kids on top of the crowd, they call that crowd surfing. There must be like 100 kids crowd surfing, but I’d like to see like 200 kids crowd surfing. I want to see some kind of record.”

The band just released their latest album SUPERCHARGED on Friday, October 11, 2024.
“We wanted this record to have pure energy – from the start to the finish! That’s why we called it SUPERCHARGED,” the band stated.
The Offspring formed in 1984 in Garden Grove, California.
They are one of the most prominent bands in the punk rock scene, known for blending punk with a melodic style that helped define the Southern California punk sound of the 1990s.
The band’s original lineup included vocalist and guitarist Bryan “Dexter” Holland, bassist Greg Kriesel, guitarist Kevin “Noodles” Wasserman, and drummer Ron Welty.
Over the years, the lineup has seen some changes, with Pete Parada joining as the drummer in 2007, though Holland and Noodles remain central to the group.
Their breakthrough album, Smash (1994), became a major success, thanks to hit singles like “Come Out and Play” and “Self Esteem.”
It remains one of the best-selling independent albums of all time.
Subsequent albums such as Ixnay on the Hombre (1997), Americana (1998), and Conspiracy of One (2000) continued to bolster their popularity, with tracks like “Pretty Fly (for a White Guy),” “Why Don’t You Get a Job,” and “The Kids Aren’t Alright” becoming mainstream hits.
