Joan Jett and The Blackhearts tore up the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival on Friday, May 2, 2025.
Playing a range of tunes from their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame career, Jett closed out the Shell Gentilly Stage on the second day of the second weekend at the festival.
In a poignant moment, Jett and the band allowed the crowd to take over singing duties during “Crimson and Clover”, a cover song which appeared on their debut album in 1981.
During her most recognizable song, “I Love Rock ‘N Roll”, a young girl about 7-years-old, was spotted on the big screen sitting on her dad’s shoulders, singing every word and rocking out.
SWOMP was amongst the crowd for the set, here are some photos we captured:
JazzFest continues May 3 & 4, 2025.
