Three Days Grace, Volbeat & Wage War blow the roof off Canada Life Place in London

Rockers Three Days Grace and Volbeat blew the roof off Canada Life Place on Saturday, June 21, 2025 in London as part of their co-headlining tour across Canada this summer.

The tour followed the recent announcement of Adam Gontier’s official return to Three Days Grace.

Fans got a taste of the reunion when the band teased a studio video of Gontier and Brad Walst reconnecting, which led to the release of their first single, “Mayday.”

The track skyrocketed to #1 on the Mediabase active rock charts and held the top spot for six consecutive weeks.

Three Days Grace also recently announced their eighth studio album Alienation, available August 22, featuring the new single “Apologies,” which is out now everywhere.

“This song’s a mirror for anyone who feels like they’re too far gone to be loved,” said Neil Sanderson, the drummer for Three Days Grace.

“How it hurts more knowing someone did love you—just not enough to save you from yourself. Apologies don’t rewind time.

Sanderson added: “Alienation is a journey through inner collapse and outward defiance—The songs reflect isolation as a condition of existence, not just circumstance. Some of what we write about – anxiety, addiction, heartbreak, disconnect, are often a different wave of the same storm. And yet, buried in all the wreckage is something human—still reaching out.”

Meanwhile, Volbeat are touring in support of their ninth album, God Of Angels Trust, which was released earlier this month.

The band recently released a single “Demonic Depression” as part of the album release

“‘Demonic Depression’ is based on one of my really good friends and the state of mind that he was in for a couple of years,” says Michael Poulsen, vocals, guitar.

“I’ve played it for several friends, and they’ve all asked, ‘Did you write that about me?’ Which is a little scary and just shows how many people are dealing with mental issues in certain parts of their lives and how many are constantly struggling.”

He added, “It’s about some heavy mental issues, so I guess the message is pretty universal. Depression is so all-consuming, and it affects so many people, and the best way to help someone struggling with it is to talk to them and listen what they have to say. I’ve had my share of mental issues throughout life, so I guess I’m part of the lyrics, too.”

With God Of Angels Trust, the Danish band — which has scored 11 No. 1 songs on the Billboard Mainstream Rock airplay chart, with the latest being the new album’s first single “By a Monster’s Hand,” marking the most ever for a band based outside North America — has thrown caution to the wind, ignored comfort zones, and paid little heed to traditional songwriting in the search for something more immediate and surprising. The end result will thrill Volbeat’s dedicated legion of fans.

Poulsen’s excitement to thwart convention is palpable throughout God Of Angels Trust, a punchy, crunchy album that’s undeniably Volbeat, yet marches to a fresh new metallic and melodic energy.
