Weezer closes out the inaugural Rockin’ Thunder music festival in Edmonton, Alberta

Veteran Los Angeles, California rockers Weezer closed out the inaugural Rockin’ Thunder music festival in Edmonton, Alberta on Saturday, July 12, 2025.

“We’re going to take in back to 1994 in the garage where it all started,” frontman Rivers Cuomo told the audience, before the band performed ‘In The Garage’ from their debut Blue album.

Cuomo delivered some fitting lyric changes throughout their set, including “Living in Edmonton, AB” during ‘Beverley Hills’, adding “Nickelback knows the way to reach the top of the charts” to ‘Pork and Beans’ and swapping in “half-Canadian girls” during ‘El Scorcho’.
