Almost Monday | ALTer EGO 2026

San Diego’s Almost Monday made their ALTer EGO debut Saturday night, a long way from the garage where the band first started and firmly planted on one of L.A.’s biggest stages.

“How are you doing, Los Angeles?” singer Dawson Daugherty asked early on, later calling it an “honour” to be part of the night’s lineup.

The indie trio brought a sun-soaked, surf-leaning pop-rock sound to the Forum, drawing easy comparisons to bands like MGMT and Foster the People while still carving out their own California lane. Breezy melodies and upbeat rhythms carried their short set, offering the crowd a sharp snapshot of what an Almost Monday live show looks like.

The band wrapped their four-song appearance with their breakout single, can’t slow down, the track that hit number one on Billboard’s Alternative Airplay chart early last year, sending the crowd out on a high.
