Dashboard Confessional kick off busy year at Innings

Dashboard Confessional brought early 2000s emotion back to the stage at the Innings Festival, using their set to launch a busy 2026.

“It’s very nice to see you all,” frontman Chris Carrabba told the crowd.

“This is our first show of the year. We’re so excited it got to be with you.”

Carrabba noted it marked the second time in five years the band has opened their year at Innings Festival.

He also leaned into some humour mid-set, poking fun at the spotlight on curling during the recent Winter Olympics in Italy.

“Are we supposed to be really into curling?” he said with smirk.

“I feel like I could compete.”

Looking ahead, Dashboard Confessional have a packed touring schedule.

They will join Goo Goo Dolls for an extensive Canadian run from March through April, with stops including Victoria, Calgary, London, Toronto and Halifax.

In July, the band will hit the road for the Summer of Light Tour alongside The Fray and Colony House, with stops across the United States.

They also have select headlining dates scheduled for April, including shows in Portland and Albany.
