Yungblud kicked off his sold-out Idols tour at the Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre on Friday, May 1, 2026, delivering a high-energy opening night.
“Fucking shit, it’s good to be back in the United States,” he told the crowd.
“I want you to go fucking crazy for me tonight. Are you motherfuckers ready to rock and roll? I want chaos right now, Michigan.”
The sold-out crowd packed tightly into the outdoor venue despite the near-freezing conditions, with a mix of snow and sleet falling just before he took the stage.
Undeterred, he came out in his signature look – leather pants and a small vest – which he ditched after the opening song.
From there, the energy never let up. He stayed fully engaged from start to finish, bouncing across the stage and connecting with fans at every turn.
At one point, he made his way into the middle of the crowd, singing among the audience.
“Michigan, I want to see some people on fucking shoulders right now,” he said.
“If you are in a seat, stand on your fuckin’ seat right now. I want to see some good old fashioned Michigan chaos.”
“This is your opportunity to be as naughty as you like. I want you to get bad tonight, Michigan. I love you crazy motherfuckers, man.”
A particularly touching moment came with his tribute to Ozzy Osbourne.
It’s something he’s done a number of times since Ozzy’s passing, but it still hit just as hard.
He asked the audience to dedicate a song “for a dear friend of mine in the sky.”
“This next song goes out to Mr. Fuckin’ Ozzy Osbourne, man,” he said.
“Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being here tonight, I love you all. Let me see them lights in the air for the boss. This song is called ‘Changes.’ I love you. I love you, Oz.”
Performing “Changes,” he became visibly emotional — tearing up and getting choked up at moments — yet still sang from the gut, belting it out with intensity and presence.
The crowd fully embraced the moment.
Fans lit up the venue with their phone lights and sang along as he handed off parts of the song, turning it into one of the night’s most powerful highlights.

The tour comes on the heels of new music. Back in February, Yungblud released the second installment of his Idols project, featuring new tracks including the chart-topping “Zombie” collaboration with The Smashing Pumpkins.
Led by “Suburban Requiem,” the new chapter reflects a more self-assured and personal evolution following the success of the first Idols release, which earned him another UK No. 1.
The rollout builds on a historic run that includes multiple chart-topping albums, a Grammy Awards win and record-setting nominations.
His tour continues across North America into June.
