Nova Twins and Spiritbox kept the same running order as the tour progressed, opening for Evanescence again at Pine Knob in Clarkston, Mich. on August 2, 2026.
LaPlante and her bandmates delivered a ferocious set, with the singer swinging between angsty screams and soulful melodies as the band remained tight and forceful throughout.
Spiritbox leaned into a subterranean theme during the Michigan performance, with smoke-filled bubbles drifting across the stage with the words, “I realize I can never be the person you want me to be,” and, “I pray that you will stay down here with me and just… breathe” came from the speakers. LaPlante popped several of the bubbles as the song closed, smiling and thanking the crowd.
They kept the energy high between songs, needling the crowd about the headliner still to come.
“I know you’re having fun. For every song that we finish, it’s one more song closer to when Evanescence comes out,” LaPlante told the audience.
She also reflected on the length of the tour and the band’s admiration for Evanescence.
“We have been on tour for 100 weeks, that means that we’ve gone to see them play 100,000 times. I just want to let you know that if you think you’re ready, you’re not fucking ready,” LaPlante said.
She thanked the crowd for their support of the opening acts before introducing one of the set’s final songs.
“Thank you so much for giving us some goddamn respect as an opening band. So, for everybody out there that just took their last bite of hot dog, this next song goes out to you,” she said.
Spiritbox closed its Pine Knob set with a pair of songs dedicating the second-to-last track to loved ones and the final one to the opposite, with LaPlante screaming to the crowd, “You all deserve each other,” during their closing number, “Soft Spine.”
The Sanctuary tour heads to Europe in September, before moving to Australia and New Zealand in 2027.
