Sombr brought his rapidly rising alt-pop sound to Sommo Festival in Cavendish, P.E.I., delivering a headline performance that capped a major summer of growth for the 21-year-old New York artist.

Sombr has quickly moved from bedroom recordings to international stages, building a global audience with a blend of indie rock, atmospheric pop and emotionally charged songwriting.
His breakthrough came with “Back to Friends,” which became his first Billboard Hot 100 top-10 hit and reached No. 1 on Spotify’s global and U.S. charts. The song also spent five weeks at No. 1 on alternative radio in the United States.
The momentum continued with the release of his debut studio album, I Barely Know Her, which features “Back to Friends” alongside “Undressed” and “12 to 12.” Both tracks reached the top 20 on the Billboard Global 200 and Hot 100.
Sombr’s live run has grown alongside his chart success. This summer included festival appearances across Europe before the North American leg of his tour, with Sommo marking one of his 2026 festival dates.
On stage, his intimate songwriting takes on a larger scale, pairing the vulnerability of his recorded material with an arena-ready live presentation.
The Sommo appearance comes as Sombr prepares for an extensive North American arena tour, beginning Sept. 29 in Vancouver and continuing through major venues across Canada and the United States. The tour includes a Nov. 16 stop at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.
The artist is also set to expand his international touring schedule in 2027, with arena dates announced across Europe, the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand.
