New Jersey hard rock band Black Rose Rebellion released its debut album, Hail The Rebel Queen, on May 29 through Pavement Entertainment.
The band blends modern hard rock with metal influences and is fronted by vocalist Bri. Lead guitarist Dave “The RockDoc” Rosenfeld co-founded the group with Bri (The Rebel Queen) in June 2022 after the pair were introduced by a mutual friend while both were considering stepping away from music.
In an interview, prior to the albums release, the pair discussed the band’s origins and the themes behind the album, which focuses on resilience, individuality and self-belief. Listen, below:
Bri served 13 years in the United States Army, including roles in the JAG Corps, Operation Enduring Freedom, Civil Affairs and as a drill sergeant.
Rosenfeld balanced his music career while working as a dental practitioner in New Jersey. Drummer Karen “Kar Rose” Rosenfeld joined the band as a co-founder, while Brooklyn-born bassist Michele Mayhem completed the lineup.
