Fans in attendance will be coming from far and wide, as they represent: eight Canadian provinces, 24 American states and four different countries.
BorderFest will host the largest U.S. resident crowd in the events history, with hundreds of Americans coming to enjoy the live music and celebrate Bluewater BorderFest.
Bluewater BorderFest is encouraging local businesses to welcome this weeks visitors to Sarnia-Lambton, as the three day music festival is expected to generate roughly $4-million in economic impact from hotel stays, travel, restaurant visits, shopping and more.
Across Sarnia-Lambton businesses are encouraged to welcome fans with a ‘Welcome BorderFest Fans’ message on their signs, in their businesses and with their social media pages.
In welcoming thousands of visitors to Sarnia-Lambton for Bluewater BorderFest, don’t forget to tag #BluewaterBorderFest as each night the organizers are going to provide a local business with tickets for the show.
Canada’s Summer Kick Off Concert will celebrate the 7th year anniversary of Bluewater BorderFest, as the community volunteer organizing committee has continued to create and make events happen every year since 2017, adapting to support artists and the Canadian music industry alike with Bluewater BorderFest from 2017-2019, The Rocking the Runway Drive In Concert in 2020, and the OktBorderFest two day music celebration in 2021 and the return of Bluewater BorderFest again in 2022.
The concert event is produced by Bluewater BorderFest and the volunteer committee is the only music festival group that is a not-for-profit event, with no paid staff.
The committee’s goal is simple, to make Sarnia-Lambton a better place to live, work and play, while generating millions of dollars in economic impact and tourism for the region, as Bluewater BorderFest is a key economic and tourism destination driver for Southwestern Ontario.
For 2023, Bluewater BorderFest is excited to extend their reach in the United States, throughout the Province of Ontario, and welcome all of Canada, and residents of four countries to Discover Ontario, and join them in the celebration of being a ‘border town’.
