Summer 2023 officially got underway on Thursday night, June 29, as Loud Luxury, a Canadian-born, Los Angeles-based international touring dance music duo composed of Andrew Fedyk and Joe De Pace, energized the crowd at Caesars Windsor.

“Windsor… We’re kicking off summer right now,” Andrew Fedyk told the crowd, which filled the standing-room-only general admission section of The Colosseum floor.

The group was formed while attending Western University. After several independent releases and remixes, their career took off with the smash hit “Body.”

The song is certified Diamond in Canada and multi-Platinum across nine countries, accumulating over 1.5 billion streams across all platforms.

Since then, the duo has released “Love No More” and “I’m Not Alright” (with Bryce Vine), totaling over 400 million streams. In 2020, they released their debut EP, “Nights Like This,” which was supported by a three-month, 60-show bus tour across the U.S. and Canada.

The multiple JUNO Award winners and iHeart Music Awards nominees released their second EP, “Holiday Hills,” in 2021, and their latest single, “These Nights” (featuring KIDDO), broke the top 40 on U.S. Pop Radio.

They currently hold a Las Vegas residency with TAO Group at OMNIA, Hakkasan, and Wet Republic. In addition, they perform globally at marquee music festivals and venues and have amassed an engaging social following with viral hits and remixes.

Los Angeles-based DJ and producer Valentino Khan set the tone right before Loud Luxury, bringing his elements of house, trap, bass, and hardstyle to the Colosseum stage.

Valentino most recently released his House Party EP on Mad Decent, a six-track release that includes collaborations with Diplo, Chris Lorenzo, and Wuki.

It debuted at #1 on the Apple Music Dance charts and has received critical praise across the board.

The world was introduced to Khan in 2014 when he burst onto the scene with his debut EP, “In Khan We Trust,” on Skrillex’s OWSLA label.

After gaining traction with the EP, a year later, Khan’s original track “Deep Down Low” became an international sensation, earning the title of “Most Played Track Of The Year” and topping Sirius XM’s #1 Song of 2015 on Electric Area.

Since then, he has earned a reputation as a remix master with official renditions of RL Grime’s “Pressure,” Alison Wonderland’s “Good Enough,” Calvin Harris & Dua Lipa’s “One Kiss,” Katy Perry & Nicki Minaj’s “Swish Swish,” and more.

Canadian electronic musician and DJ Frank Walker was the first artist to plug in his gear on Thursday night.

Walker is most noted for his single “Only When It Rains,” a collaboration with Astrid S, which was a Juno Award nominee for Dance Recording of the Year at the Juno Awards of 2020.

“I’ve had the opportunity to fly across the world and share my music with millions of people,” Walker wrote on his website.

“I’ve been inspired by these adventures and cannot wait to share new music with all of you. Stepping back into the studio, my sound has continued to evolve, and these upcoming releases are my favorite yet. Thank you for joining me on this wild journey. Let’s keep dancing together.”
