Saint Asonia rocks Day #2 at Bluewater Borderfest 2024 in Sarnia

Following a severe thunderstorm, and an emergency evacuation of Centennial Park in Sarnia, Canadian-American rockers Saint Asonia got Day #2 of the Bluewater Borderfest back on track on Friday, June 21, 2024.

“You mind if we go back and do some old songs, maybe?” frontman Adam Gontier asked the Sarnia crowd.

The band, who formed in Toronto in 2015, rocked a number of Three Days Grace tunes at Borderfest, the band Gontier had previously fronted.

The set also featured a special guest appearance, as Skillet frontman John Cooper joined the band onstage for their performance of ‘Wolf’.

The group consists of Gontier, the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist, lead guitarist Mike Mushok formerly of Staind, bassist and backing vocalist Cale Gontier and drummer Cody Watkins.

Guitarist Tavis Stanley, who performed in Sarnia on Friday, is currently filling in for Mushok on the tour.
