As the final headline act of the weekend, Korn fervently closed out Louder Than Life in Louisville, Kentucky on Sunday, September 29, 2024.
“Here we go,” vocalist Jonathan Davis screamed to the audience, as the curtain dropped and the band cranked right into gear to begin their show.
Long dreads were swinging, Adidas gear was being sported, the bass guitar was being tapped and the chaotic vocals from Davis were on full display right from opening note.
“Louder Than Life…. tonight, we celebrate 30 mother fucking years of Korn,” Davis told the audience.
“30 years, ya’ll. What a fuckin’ incredible ride. I want to thank each and every fuckin’ person for coming out to support us tonight. I cannot fuckin’ thank-you enough.”
With band playing the opening notes of their song ‘Blind’, Davis added: “I want to say ‘what’s up’ to all the old school Korn fans in the house. Let me hear ya. And to all the new-school Korn fans, ya’ll out there? That’s amazing ya’ll, because you know what? You mother fuckers weren’t even born yet when this album came out. Let’s have some fuckin’ fun.”

Korn changed the world with the release of their self-titled debut album in 1994.
It was a record that would pioneer a genre, and blur others-leading into a larger cultural movement.
Since forming, Korn has sold more than 40-million albums worldwide, collected two Grammys, toured the world countless times, and set many records in the process that will likely never be surpassed.
Korn has continued to push the limits of the rock, alternative and metal genres, while remaining a pillar of influence for legions of fans, and generations of artists around the globe.
The level of Korn’s reach transcends accolades and platinum certifications.
They are “a genuine movement in a way bands cannot be now,” attests The Ringer.
They represent a new archetype and radical innovation, their ability to transcend genre makes barriers seem irrelevant.
