Jimmy Eat World brought their ‘Bleed American 25th Anniversary’ tour to Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre in Sterling Heights on Friday, June 12, 2026.
The Arizona emo rockers performed their 2001 album in order – from front-to-back – during the performance, something frontman Jim Adkins said was a change of pace for the group.
“This is definitely not our normal setlist tonight,” Adkins told the Michigan crowd.
“Or at least in this order. This is really interesting. Just the ups and downs that you do listening to an album versus what you do playing a show. I just hope this works. This is not our normal gig. Hope you’re having fun.”
Adkins reflected on previous times performing in Michigan over the years, before performing the final track “My Sundown” off Bleed American.
“I have so much gratitude being here and playing music for y’all,” Adkins said.
“I can’t thank you enough for your support over the years. From playing the Magic Stick, the Shelter, Detroit Fest. I thought I was going to get my ass kicked at Detroit Fest to be honest.”
The band also played some rarities from their 1999 album Clarity and their 2005 EP Stay On My Side Tonight during their Michigan set.

The anniversary tour travels all across the United States into November, with a handful of festival dates in the mix.
The tour stops at the RBC Amphitheatre in Toronto on August 23, 2026. They’re also playing the Vans Warped Tour in Montreal in August as well, along with the Halifax Music Festival in Nova Scotia later this month.
